Licenses & Accreditation

Melmark New England is qualified by Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services.

Our day and residential private school programs are fully approved by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Program Quality Assurance Services.          

Residential services for school aged students are licensed through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC).

Residential services for adults are regulated through the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS).

Massachusetts Special Appointment Commission Relative to Autism

Rita Gardner was appointed to the Massachusetts Special Commission Relative to Autism by Governor Deval Patrick. She is 1 of 31 people selected to serve in this capacity. The Autism Commission was established by Legislative Resolve and approved by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick in April 2010. It has the charge of investigating and studying the range of service and supports necessary for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders to achieve their full potential.
